Affirmative Sentence:
An activity that was finished prior to another action or event in the past is described in the past perfect tense.
Structure
Subject+ had + 3rd form of verb +object.
Example:
He had finished his work.

ہم جلدی روانہ ہو گئے تھے۔

اس نے دوپہر کا کھانا کھایا تھا۔

Negative Sentence:

Example:

اس نے اپنا ہوم ورک مکمل نہیں کیا تھا۔

Interrogative sentences are used in the past perfect tense to inquire about acts that were taken prior to a specific period in the past.
